As the Bundesliga season finished, we all wondered what the future held for the Borussia Dortmund RWB/RB Achraf Hakimi. During his time on loan at Dortmund the Moroccan had become one of the most coveted right backs in the modern game.
That along with his brilliant pace and tactical understanding, made him a huge success in the Bundesliga. Despite all of this, his future was up in the air, Until now.
According to Di Marzio, Real Madrid and Inter Milan have been in talks for the Moroccan for a while. The talks started in March with Antonio Conte keen to add him to his Inter Milan renaissance.
A fee in the region of €40m has been agreed between Real Madrid and Inter Milan for the sale of Achraf Hakimi to the Italian giants. There has even been an eagerness from Hakimi himself to join up with Antonio Conte and it all looks like a matter of when not if we see the young man in an Inter shirt.
This is a sign of real ambition from Inter Milan as they complete the signing of one of the most promising right backs in the game. As for Real Madrid, it looks like they are not willing to invest in the defender for the long term.
